Andrea Foster

Supplier Engagement and Diversity Manager, Duke Energy & LIPP Committee Chair, North Carolina Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (NC AABE).

Andrea Foster serves as a Supplier Engagement and Diversity Manager on the award-winning Supplier Diversity team within the Supply Chain organization at Duke Energy. In this role, she is responsible for leading supplier diversity strategy for various departments. This role focuses on building & strengthening inclusive supplier relationships and creating a more sustainable Supply Chain.

 

Andrea began her career in the utility industry in 2014 and has 10+ years of Supply Chain experience that includes accounts payable and strategic sourcing. She believes in playing a pivotal role in increasing the competitive advantage of Duke Energy by serving two Supply Chain Councils. Prior to Duke Energy, she held strategic account management roles in the insurance industry and public sector.


Her passion for serving the community has afforded her the opportunity to contribute her time to different organizations. She currently serves on the leadership team of the American Association of Blacks in Energy, North Carolina chapter as the Legislative Issues and Public Policy Committee Chair. She is a member of the Pathways Opportunity Council to empower minority and disadvantaged groups by providing equitable opportunities within the modern workforce. She also serves on two Scholarship Committees to assist in identifying students for award and professional development opportunities. One of her biggest joys is providing mentorship to young professionals.


Andrea is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She later received a Tax Accounting Certificate from Central Piedmont Community College. She also completed the Management Accelerator Program from McKinsey & Company.
